missingWrote a review on Oct 14friendly staffcozy atmospheredelicious foodcarpet cleanlinessstaff attitude
I had a lovely dinner at The Bridge Inn while staying nearby. The staff greeted me warmly, and the atmosphere felt cozy with a charming fireplace. I enjoyed a delightful meal, and the service remained attentive despite the busyness. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the variety of drinks available. my room left a bit to be desired. The carpet needed a good clean, which was surprising given how nice the common areas were. there was a lack of staff on duty during breakfast. While the initial staff member was pleasant, a different staff member showed a grumpy demeanor, which dampened the experience slightly. Fortunately, the breakfast itself was satisfying, offering plenty of choices to start the day right. I would definitely come back, but I hope they address the cleanliness in the rooms and the inconsistency in staff attitude for breakfast.

Great location with incredible breakfast
I recently stayed for two nights with my family and found the location to be ideal for hiking adventures, just a short distance from Wasdale. The breakfast options were excellent, made to order and using high-quality ingredients. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience overall. the dining area felt a bit cramped during busy meal times.

delightful walks to parks and historical landmarks
staying here was a pleasure, especially with easy access to Muncaster Castle and the scenic trails of Whin Rigg that are perfect for weekend strolls, and the friendly staff really made me feel welcome during my solo visit. the single room was cozy enough for my needs, but the creaky hallways might disturb lighter sleepers.
